What are the habits of Gen Z?
User Interview Findings:
Problem:
Gen Z is moving into a world where minimum wage has stayed low while the cost yet cost of living has continually increased. Therefore, the value of the products they own must be greater than the value of the space it takes up. Current Multi-Function Printers do not provide greater value for Gen Z than the space they take up. Many scans are done on a mobile, staples are often not needed, and Multi-Function Printers have a large foot print.
Could Multi-Function Printers be redesigned to meet the needs of Gen Z?
Trend Analysis
Mid-Century Modern forms and dark wood elements showed prevalence in mainstream interior design CMF. Meanwhile, social media platforms such as TikTok grew the popularity of niche interior design trends for younger audiences living a in a hybrid work environment. These trends had playful accent colors and second hand items.
